This year, Chicago's film project is getting back to its roots. Every dancer gets the chance to tap on camera while also being a part of telling a fun story that takes shape over the course of the film.

Work with a bonus professional tap dancer. Learn new techniques, styles, and insights from another expert.
These sessions are a unique opportunity to expand your skills, get inspired, and experience new approaches to tap that you can bring into your own dancing.

Audition Bootcamp**
Experience what it’s like auditioning for a professional dance gig. Before the event, you get a casting call—what to wear, how to prepare, and what the “job” is.
During the workshop, we coach you on how to be confident in presenting yourself & how to pick up the choreography quickly.
Then comes the mock audition. Get 1-on-1 feedback and receive notes to improve.

Casting Call Q&A*
Join Meghan & Eddie Garcia for this pre-event experience. Learn from a dance pro what it's like to book major dance gigs. Find out what it takes to make it through auditions, prep for performances, and work with high-caliber industry professionals. Plus, ask anything you've been dying to know about your own dance dreams!

Do you get nervous when speaking in front of an audience?
In this unique, interview-style training, you get to play the role of a podcast host interviewing a celebrity. Then you get to jump in the hot seat and answer questions about your dance journey, hopes, and dreams.

Creative Workshop
Find your style as you experiment and develop your tap dance voice.
Through performance prompts and improv challenges, discover how to be more you when you dance.

A Note from Meghan:
Why Tap on Location?
I started tap dancing at just five years old. That makes it 30+ years for me now!
Like most of you, I danced in all styles, trained hard with my studio, and eventually learned how to succeed at competitions and conventions.
However, when I moved to Los Angeles right out of high school, I learned that life on the competition stage didn’t prepare me for the professional dance world as much as I’d hoped.
I created Tap on Location to give young dancers a taste of the what the professional experience holds and to help you confidently transition into a successful career—no matter what path you choose.
