Tap dance teachers are expected to inspire, mentor and constantly give to their students.
As rewarding as the work is, giving so much often leaves you feeling drained, stale or uninspired.
That's why I'm offering Tap Dance Training just for teachers.
Take class with me so you can continue growing and have fresh inspiration for your students all season long.
Classes happen online, so you can join me from anywhere!
What You Get

Training for You
You get to be the student for a change! Just show up and dance. No planning or prep. Brush up on your skills & learn new techniques. Work on musicality, precision, performance, & more!

Class Material
I take you through new exercises, combos, and games. These are designed for you to use in your studio classes right away. On top of that, we cover non-dancing skills to be an amazing teacher.

Tap Teacher Community
Be inspired by and learn from other tap teachers! Each class, we take time to connect, ask questions, talk about opportunities & challenges, and share what is working (or not) in your studio classes. Get new ideas to prepare your students for competition.
Who is this for?
Being a tap dance teacher is one of the hardest jobs at a dance studio. Unless you're fortunate enough to have a studio owner who really believes in tap, it's easy to feel like you're the black sheep of the studio. It might even feel like other parts of the dance program get more attention, resources and support.
Even though some other styles (contemporary, hip hop, jazz, etc.) are often students' favorites, I truly believe tap is an essential part of every dancer's foundational training. It's our job as tap teachers to build our students' timing, footwork and musicality in ways that no other style can.
But I don't want to just help you get better at teaching dance technique. I want to help you make your classes more fun and engaging so that more of your students look forward to them.
If You Teach Tap, This is for You!
If you're a newer teacher looking to build a strong curriculum, this is a great program for you! If you're a more seasoned teacher looking for fresh inspiration, look no further! Lastly, if tap isn't your favorite, but it's fallen on you to teach it for your studio, this might just help you learn to love tap.
Classes are virtual, so you can join from wherever you are!

You Get 2 Live Classes Per Month
Each class is 90 minutes long over video.
One class per month is focused on Technique and Tap Training. We dance together while I give you new exercises you can use in your own tap classes.
The other class each month is discussion-based. The subject matter and format change based on the time of year and the groups' needs.
- During the fall, we typically focus on teaching technique, classroom management, choreography, and cleaning & staging dances.
- During the winter/spring, we also focus on tools you can use to help your students get ready for competition season.
- There are opportunities for you to share your choreography & competition videos to get feedback.
The Community You Need
I believe we all have something to learn from each other. We're stronger and wiser when we tell each other our stories and grow together.
So, there are always opportunities to share what's working well for you and what you're having a hard time with. We celebrate wins together and problem solve difficult situations.
"Meghan’s Tap Teacher Training class is always the highlight of my week. I’ve learned so much in this class, not only how to be a better tap teacher but I’ve even improved my own technique as well... My favorite thing about this class is the community it has brought me... I can just tap with other teachers who share the same joys as me."
